2 & 3 At North Island Champs |
Graham Standring took top honors in the North Island Title last weekend at Gisborne Speedway chased home by the Aggressors of Brad Mosen and Shaun Insley. Gisbourne were treated to a spectacle as the cream of the midget class put on a show averaging 105kph around the quarter mile clay oval. Heat two saw Shane Alach set a new track record of 13.018 seconds in his Aggressor modified Breka Chassis. Watch the final heat of the North Island Midget Championship on YouTube. |

Brown Dogg is the Magic Man |
|
Mark “Brown Dog” Brown dominated last night at the Perth Motorplex for the first running of the Magic Man 34. Brown had a night that the best in the business could hope for, winning two heats, setting fast time and starting on pole in the $12,000 to win A main event. Brown led from flag to flag leaving the pack chasing as he cruised to victory. Second place went to Todd Waddell who started beside Brown on the front row. Dean McAllen rounded out the top three. |

Kuhn And Ray Campaign Aggressors |
Brad Kuhn wrapped up the international series with two thirds and a win in round 3 in an Aggressor/ Pink Ford.
This topped off a successful tour for Kuhn who also won the World 40 Lap King Of The Springs. Kuhns other results included two second places in the feature events of rounds one and two and a second place in the World 50 Lapper.
Davey Ray also featured in his Aggressor fitted with a new Synergy 2400 winning round one of the international series before suffering gear failure in the following rounds. |

Mark Brown Crowned Super Series Champ |
The 2008 Speedcar Super Series was decided in fantastic style at Charlton Raceway over the weekend.
Mark Brown and Nathan Smee battled out the closing laps of the final event on the calendar with Smee taking the $3,000 SSS Masters prize money cheque and claiming the 40 lap flag to flag win from Brown, Jenkins, McAllan, Hamilton, NSW’s Jason Gates. It was Brown who was the big winner on the night however with his second place finish enough to secure a series victory in his Adila motorsports Aggressor Hawk. Final Standings: Mark Brown 3652, Troy Jenkins 2786, Dene McAllan 2215, Troy Jordan 1712, Grant Draney 1308. |

Aggressor Stable Dominate Kihikihi Shane Alach in his Aggressor modified Breka chassis took out the feature at Kihikihi speedway last Sunday ahead of Brad Mosen and Bryce Townsend. The Aggressor trio lead home one of the strongest midget car fields Kihikihi has seen for many years with 20 cars taking part in the meeting including the majority of the Auckland based a Grade and international stars such As Jerry Coons Jnr. The past 2 meetings at PCR have seen the Rondalee Aggressor of Mark Brown under he control of two separate drivers, both finishing on the podium in their first time in the car.
Shaun Insley made the trip across the ditch to run at PCR on the 24th and despite a broken hand managed to finish third in the A main. Seven days later and ex pat kiwi Mark Cooper ran the Mark Brown car again managing a podium finish in the main event.
